James was a farmer and Primative Baptist Minister. He served as a Private in the war of 1812. He was discharged at Ft. Deposit Alabama on March 1,1815. He was married two times I'm not sure which wife came first, Lethial Moore was one wife she and James had two children, the other wife was Polly Mary Williams. James was the father of 18 children some of them died of Typhoid Fever. I am not sure of the name of the cemetery where he is buried , believe it is Swaim.
