Born Oct. 20, 1919 in Benton County, he was the son of the late William Tubbs and Ethel Cole Tubbs. Mr. Tubbs was a vetran of World War II, and had been a farmer in Benton County for many years. He was a member of the Flatwoods Baptist Church.

Three daughters: Earline Farmer and Mrs. Carolyn Waters, both of Big Sandy; Mrs. Betty Nichols of Paris.
One son: Ray Tubbs of Big Sandy
Three sisters: Mrs. Willie Mae Kelly, Camden; Mrs. Lorene Clendenion, Holladay; Mrs. Lounell Shearin, Atlanta, Georgia.
Four brothers: Grady Tubbs, Albert Tubbs and Charlie Tubbs, all of Holladay; Billy Tubbs of Camden
Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
