PAYSON -- Mary LaRie White Ballard, 46, Payson, died Thursday in the Wasatch County Hospital in Heber City after being thrown and rolled on by her horse in Strawberry. She was born Jan. 3, 1924, in Idaho Falls, Ida., a daughter of Marvin A. and Dorris Griffith White.
She married Morgan Ballard on Aug. 3, 1940, in Goshen. For a number of years she was employed at Osborne and Jolene sewing plants in Spanish Fork.
Survivors include her husband, Payson; four sons and three daughters, Mrs. Gordon (Jean) Allred, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Joseph (Pat) Bona, Benjamin; Victor, Roy, Bill, Bonnie Jean and Brett Ballard, all of Payson; seven grandchildren; her mother, Mrs. Dorris Bulkley, Helper; one brother, Kent White, Magna; one half-brother, Wayne Carter, Springville.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Payson Fifth Ward chapel under the direction of Bishop Blaine Montague. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary in Payson tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock and Monday prior to services. Burial will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
