Larry Roger Zurovec was born in Orchard to parents Louis and Rita (Kunchick) Zurovec. He was raised in Orchard and attended Orchard schools. Mr. Roger Zurovec was joined in marriage to Miss Mildred Pilcik. Roger worked for Cooper/Cameron in the valve division as a supervisor for 42 years. He also was a farmer. He was the President of East Bernard Chapter of Germania Insurance, served on Brazos ISD school board and was a trustee on the Orchard Cemetery Board. Roger passed away on March 22, 2010 at his home in Orchard.

Roger is survived by his wife, Mildred Zurovec of Orchard, sons, Matthew Zurovec and wife Crystal of East Bernard and Michael Zurovec of Orchard, grandson, Tyler Zurovec, sisters, Ramona Jetelina of Wallis, Merlyn Duty of Damon and Gaye Black of Katy, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Rita Zurovec, brothers, John Zurovec, Louis Zurovec and Paul Fritz, Sr.

Roger Zurovec, 61, of Orchard, passed away Monday, March 22, 2010, in Orchard. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 25, at Knesek & Sons Funeral Home in Wallis. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 24, at Knesek & Sons Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Zurovec of Orchard; sons, Matthew Zurovec and wife, Crystal, of East Bernard, and Michael Zurovec of Orchard; grandson, Tyler Zurovec of East Bernard; sisters: Romona Jetelina of Wallis, Merlyn Duty of Damon, and Gaye Black of Katy; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
