Illinois National Guardsman who was called to federal service as a member of B Company, 192nd Tank Battalion. He became a Prisoner of War when Bataan was surrendered to the Japanese. Bronge took part in the death march and was held at Camp O'Donnell and Cabanatuan POW camps. He died of dysentery at Cabanatuan POW Camp. He was the cousin of Pvt. Daniel Boni of Hq Company, 192nd Tank Battalion. Boni also died as a POW.
