Fritz, born in Germany, on 10 Aug, 1884 in Walworth County, Wisconsin and they settle later in Boone County Illinois. Louise gave birth to 6 children, 2 of which died in infancy. In the 1880 census, after his mother has remarried a Parkhill Sherman, Elmer lists his surname as Sherman. After Elmer's death in 1899, it appears he is buried in Potters Field at Belvidere Cemetery as Elmer Shippy.
