Betty Irene Barns, little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Barns, was born November 27, 1922 and died October 25, 1928 at Elliott, Iowa. She spent all of her life here until September 1 when the family moved to Elliott and the little girl started to school. Betty was a happy child and enjoyed a happy childhood. Besides her parents, she leaves a little brother, John, two grandmothers, three aunts and two uncles, besides a host of little friends.
The funeral was held at the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Services ere conducted by pastor, Rev. Lucius L. Smith. Music was furnished by Mrs. M. W. Taylor, Mrs. J. A. Thorson, R. L. Fields, and K. C. Shaw with Mrs. Everett Whisler at the piano. The pall bearers were Mesdames E. R. Birdsall, M. D. Lang, D. A. Edie, W. Morrison, R. L. Fields, and E. A. Bass. Burial will be made in the Emerson Cemetery.
