Eleanor A. (Peacock) Medeiros
WEST BARNSTABLE -Eleanor A. (Peacock) Medeiros died June 21, 2007, at the Heritage Nursing Home in Sandwich after a brief illness.
Born and raised in Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1940. She lived in Plymouth for many years before moving to the Cape. She has been a resident of West Barnstable for 32 years. She worked at the Cape Cod Hospital for over 20 years as a cashier and for inpatient accounts.
An avid reader of mystery novels, she spent many hours at the Weldon Library in West Barnstable. She also loved to knit afghans for her family and friends, and was also known for her famous chocolate chip cookies.
She is survived by her husband, Edmund Medeiros, of West Barnstable; her sons, Craig Morrison of Maine, Robert Morrison of West Yarmouth, David Morrison of Hyannis and Rick Gaudet of Maine; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held at the Doane, Beal & Ames Funeral Home, 160 W. Main St., Hyannis, on Monday, June 25, from 4 to 6 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 26, at Crocker Park Cemetery, West Barnstable, at 11 a.m.
Donations may be made to the Friends of Walden Library, Route 149, West Barnstable, MA 02668.
