Orville G. "Mickey" Wright, 72, of Olney, died at 5 p.m. Saturday, May 13, 2006, at his residence.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral services, with full military rites performed by Olney Veterans Organizations, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Pastor Steve Wingert officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in rural Claremont.
Mr. Wright was born January 11, 1934, in Lawrence County, the son of Logan and Evangelyn (Reynolds) Wright. He married Joan Bunn on June 29, 1957. He was a retired school teacher and administrator for East Richland School District. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Wright, of Olney; son, Jeff Wright and his wife Patty, of Olney; grandchildren, Tate Wright, at home, Lacey J. Wright, at home, and Lance Cpl. Levi Wright, in Okinawa, Japan, U.S. Marine Corps; sister, Dorothy Legg, of Bridgeport; and brother, David Wright, of Texas.
Mr. Wright was preceded in death by his parents.
