Margaret Elizabeth Delaney Peel, 92, passed away Sunday at the Elms of Cranbury.
Born in Saratoga Springs, NY, she was a West Windsor area resident since 1970.
She was a retired high school English and History teacher from Saratoga Springs, NY.
Mrs. Peel received her undergraduate degree from Albany State and her master's degree from the University of Michigan. She was a longtime member of the League of Women Voters. She attended St. David the King Roman Catholic Church in West Windsor.
She is survived by her husband, Jacques A. Peel; her sons Mark E. Peel and David J. Peel; daughter Elizabeth Ann Thomas; daughter-in-law Anne Zeman; son-in-law Robert B. Thomas; granddaughter Ann Lydia Thomas; and grandson Samuel D. Thomas.
Funeral Mass will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. David the King Roman Catholic Church, 1 New Village Road, Princeton Junction.
Burial will be held in St. Peter's Cemetery, Saratoga Springs, NY.
The family requests no flowers; therefore, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
Arrangements are under the direction of A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Cranbury.
As a teenager, after the death of her parents she and her sister, Ann went to lived with their Aunts, Mary "Mame", Elizabeth and Katherine "Kate" Gorman at their home at 82 Court St.
