SYLVA, GEORGE KAPIKOOKALANI, age 60, of Kapalani [sic, actual "Kapalai"] Rd., Kaneohe, died on Feb. 22, 1954, at the Queen's Hospital. He was born on Aug. 24, 1893, in Kaneohe, Oahu. The body will be on view at the chapel of the BORTHWICK FUNERAL PARLORS from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26th and after 8:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27th. The rosary will be recited in the chapel at 7:30 p.m. Friday. The procession will leave the chapel at Borthwick's at 9:40 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 27th for the Sacred Hearts Catholic Church where a mass for the repose of the soul will be said at 10:00 a.m. Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Diamond Head Memorial Park. He is survived by a brother, John L. Sylva; sisters, Mrs. Rose Ilalaole, Mrs. Hattie Doak, Mrs. Emily Enos, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Sylva had been a farmer for many years. BORTHWICK FUNERAL PARLORS is in charge of arrangements.
