Mrs. Fritz Abrahams, 42, of Utica, was killed in a two-car accident about six miles west of Seward on Thursday evening, December 6. She was a passenger in a car driven by her daughter, Mrs. Bernice Weber, of Utica, who suffered shock and bruises. She was taken to Memorial Hospital in Seward, and was released Friday.

The Abrahams car collided with a car driven by Roy Lanier of York, an instructor at York college. His wife, who accompanied him, was injured. Both were taken to York hospital for treatment. Mrs. Abrahams was thrown clear of the car and was believed killed instantly. Her car was a total wreck.

She is survived by her husband, Fritz, daughters Bernice and Lavonna; two sons, Dennis and Gary at home; three sisters,Alma (Prochnow), Aivila (Lange), Erna (Francis); five brothers: Walter, Art, Robert, Fred, and John Jr.

Services for Mrs. Abrahams were conducted Monday afternoon at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Utica with the Rev. H.C. Loesel officiating. Pall bearers were Ed Wiemen, Elmer Olsen, Victor Gierhan, Ernest Gierhan, Paul Hinze, William Groser. Burial was in Utica Cemetery.

Lora was born Dec. 19, 1913, in Seward County, the daughter of John and Charlotte Nordmeyer. She was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran church at Marysville. On July 8, 1934, she was married to Fritz Abrahams.
