Johnnie Clayton Carlisle, a resident of Toxey, died Friday in a Meridian, Miss., hospital. He was 71.
He is survived by his wife, Sallie T. Carlisle; two sons, Robert Eddie Carlisle and Rodney Carlisle, both of Toxey; one daughter, Carol Deas of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; two brothers, Leroy Carlisle of Mobile, Herbert H. Carlisle of Andalusia, Ala.; four sisters, Inez Lawson of Waco, Texas, Hilda Villani, Connie Snyder and Imogene Carlisle, all of Mobile; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel in Gilbertown. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Mosley Bridge Congregational Methodist Church. Interment will be in Gilbertown Cemetery .
