Never married. Her obituary appears in The Carolina Spartan Obituary section on, April 28, 1859, on page 2.
Departed this life at Spartanburg Court House, SC on the 11th April 1859, Miss CASSY FARROW, (youngest daughter of LANDON FARROW of Revolutionay memory), in the nineth year of her age. Miss FARROW was universally respected and her history affords striking evidence that a single life for a woman need not be a useless one or an unhappy one. Her time, her means, her affections were devoted to the orphan, and from a group of them attending her coffin was heard in broken sobs, "This is the only mother we ever knew". A member of the Methodist Episcopal Church from her youth, she lived and died a Christian lady. After an illness of two weeks from pneumonia, she passed away with these words, "He bids me come". Her work on earth is finished-her example in lefted-her reward is above.
