Francis Criswell Burial Is Held: Headed College
Funeral services for Francis McClure Criswell, 81, retired druggist and former President of the National College of Pharmacy here were held yesterday in Hysong's Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Henry W. Snyder, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetery with Masonic rites. Mr. Criswell died Thursday night at his home, 3031 Rodman Street Northwest. Born in Frederick County, Maryland he came here in 1866. He was a past Master and Trustee of Harmony Lodge; a member of Mount Vernon Chapter, Royal Arch Masons; Columbia Commandery, Knights Templar and Albert Pike Consistory, Scottish Rite. He was a former deacon of Epiphany Lutheran Church and St. Paul's Lutheran Church after the merger. He is survived by a daughter, Miss Addie P.S. Criswell and a grandson, William C. Gausmann, both of Washington.

Criswell and grandfather of William C. Gausmann. Remains resting at his late residence, 3031 Rodman Street Northwest until Thursday morning at 10AM. Funeral services Thursday, February 23 at 2PM at Hysong's Funeral Home, 1300 N Street Northwest. Relatives and friends invited to attend. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery.
