Avery Allen and Lucian Allen gave a candy pulling Saturday night at Lucian Allen's home. The guests were: Misses Ethel Bond, Leona Landner and Sarah Mae Simmons, Messrs. Ted Simmons, Lucian Allen, Clarence Allen, Avery Allen, Wiltmer Lacy, Colon Allen, Eli Bass, Loyd Bass, Louis SwaIN George Alexander, Bill Bozzard, Len Halderman, Nall Ladner , Ellis Scarborough, Robert Allen and Jake Woodcock. Mr. and Mrs. Dave Woodcock and Mr. and Mrs. Loren Allen. While the candy was being made the young folks played games and then all enjoyed pulling the candy which was delicious.

Mrs. W. L. Allen, who resided at 15th Street and 42nd Avenue in Gulfport died at the King's Daughters Hospital this morning at 4:30 o'clock. She was 37 years of age and was born in Mississippi. She was the wife of W. L. Allen. Funeral services will be held at the home Sunday morning, at 10 o'clock followed by interment in the Allen Cemetery in Long Beach at 11 o'clock.
