Steele was initially interred at Grave #16, American Cemetery, La Courtine, France on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 17th, 1918, and was finally reinterred at Grave #26, Row #15, Section A. at Suresnes American Cemetery, Suresnes, Hauts-de-Seine (Paris), France on the afternoon of Saturday, October 22nd, 1921.
