Services At St. John's For Edward Langer Of Eldred

Edward F. Langer of Eldred 69, passed away Sunday, July 16, at his home at 12:30 p.m. During his early life he had been in the lumber business at Hardin, and later operated a hardware store at Waverly.

Born February 9, 1898 in Eldred, he was the son of John and Christina Goeddey Langer.

Surviving are two children; four sisters and one brother: Miss Anna Langer, Miss Lucy Langer, Mrs. H. H. (Mary) Roster, and Louis Langer, all of Eldred, and Mrs. Lawrence (Katherine) Butler of Jacksonville. The Parish Rosary was recited Tuesday evening at the Mehl Funeral Home in Carrollton.

Funeral services were held at 9 a.m. in St. John's Catholic Church with the Rev. Father Francis Cunningham as celebrant of the Requiem Mass. Interment was in St. John's Cemetery. Casketbearers were Joseph Schild of Hillview, Dr. Dean Langer of White Hall, Otto Langer of Jerseyville, Joseph Goeddey, George Goeddey, and Henry Rawe of Carrollton.
