"Ollie" as he was best known, was a Steam Engineer and Custodian and Stationary Engineer of steam heat boilers. He also drove a Horse and Buggy for Butley's Slaughter House, did some farming, and was a Carder in the Cotton Mills. Lastly he was a Watchman at Crozer's Mills.
He and his wife Laura Jane (Ferguson) raised five children. He was well liked by family and friends.

OLIVER FOUNDS
Oliver Founds, husband of the late Laura J. Founds, formerly of Norwood, died Tuesday [4 Sept] in a nursing home at Media, after a long illness. He was 88. Mr. Founds for over 20 years was custodian at Olivet Presbyterian Church, Prospect Park, retiring seven years ago. Surviving him are two sons and two daughters, John A. of Glenolden, Oliver P. of McCafferty Village; Mrs. Charles Benson of Glenolden, and Mrs. Harry Bearint of Boothwyn. There are also 14 grandchildren, four of whom are in the Pacific area, and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Griffith Chapel, Norwood, and burial is at Chester Rural Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening.
