Mrs. Mary Melton Michie, 67, a former resident of Vaiden, died suddenly at her residence in Gulfport on June 6.
A native of Carroll County, Mrs. Michie was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bart Melton and was the widow of the late H. R. "Charger" Michie.
Survivors include her daughter, Miss Patti Michie of Gulfport; a sister, Mrs. Eva Johnson of Durant; and a niece and a nephew.
Mrs. Michie was a member of the Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, June 9, at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Morris Taylor officiated. Burial was in Vaiden Cemetery with Oliver in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Bill Harpole, John Stanton, Frank Stanton, Dr. Tom Dulin, Milton Turbeville, and Dennis Welch.
