Robert L. Lockhart
EAST LIVERPOOL – Funeral services will be held Tuesday at the Martin Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. for Robert L. Lockhart, 53, of 145 N. Surry Rd., who died at his home Saturday at 11 a.m. He had been in failing health for two years.
Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park with the Rev. William Parsons of the First Baptist Church officiating.
Masonic services will be held tonight at 7:30 p.m.
Born in Woodsfield, Ohio on Jan. 8, 1924, he was a son of the late Franklin and Stella Sams Lockhart. For 17 years, he was the maintenance foreman for the East Liverpool Water Dept. He was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Riddle Lodge 315 F & A M. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite in Steubenville.
Mr. Lockhart served in the Army during World War II.
Survivors include his widow, Grace Mercer Lockhart, whom he married Dec. 10, 1948; two sons, Robert of the home, and John of East Liverpool; four brothers, Lloyd of Kensington, Charles, William and Herbert , all of East Liverpool. He also leaves four sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Opal) Claus of Salem, Mrs. Willard (Hazel) Smith of Salem, Mrs. Paul (Lenora) Sosa of San Jose, Calif., and Mrs. Delmar (Lura) Logston of Chester. He also leaves a grandchild.
