Marine City - Mrs. Mary A. Achatz, 84, of 6670 Plank Road; died Sunday in River District Hospital after a long illness.
She was born June 18, 1889, in Fair Haven. She was married to Adolph Achatz Nov. 8 1910, in Marine City,. He died March 24, 1942.
Mrs. Achatz is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Marie Babel, Marine City; four sons, Cyril and Adolph Achatz, both of Hillman; Aloysius Achatz, Silver wood, and Gordon Achatz, Marine City; 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A son, Bernard Achatz, died Nov. 23, 1968.
The remains will be in Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, Marine City, after 8 p.m. today.
Funeral services will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home and at 10 a.m. in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Rev. James T. Shannon, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.A Rosary will be recited at 8; p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
