John was a Crewmember of the USS Oklahoma, and was killed in action on December 7th, 1941.
John's great-grandfather, Alfred Low, was also killed while serving his country; only during the last days of The War of Northern Aggression. Not unlike John, Alfred was "bushwhacked" in a surprise attack by cowardly enemies.
