Born according to Military record in Swansea, Wales family moved to Marysville about circa 1912.

Killed at sea on the Canadian hospital ship the Llandovery Castle when a German U-boat torpedoed the ship. This was against international law. To cover up the sinking, the captain of the u-boat then proceeded to machine gun the survivors in life boats.
