G.T. Jones Dies in Hospital

Funeral services for George Thomas Jones, 75, of 4208 Laura Ann Place, who died yesterday in a local hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the chapel of Hart's Mortuary.

The Rev. L. Clyde Harvard will officiate and burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.

Mr. Jones, a retired employe of the Storehouse of the Southern Railroad, was born in Jones County, the son of the late W.N. Jones and Mrs. Bula Williams Jones and had lived here most of his life. He was a member of the Centenary Methodist Church and the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.

Surviving are a son, George T. Jones Jr., Macon; two grandsons, Casey Jones and John Jones, both of Macon; a granddaughter, Linda Jones, Macon; three brothers; Marvin J. Jones, Macon, E.B. Jones, Jacksonville, Fla. And W.O. Jones Sr., Jupiter, Fla.; four sisters, Mrs. M.A. Mitchell, Montgomery, Ala., Mrs. Nettie Toms, Columbus, Ohio, Mrs. Henry Conner and Mrs. Lois Jones, both of Macon and several nieces and nephews.
