Regis was the last child, and third daughter of James Ash and Laura Johnson Neely. She was born at the family farm on Stony Hill Rd., Lower Makefield, Bucks Co., Pa. on Oct 26,1905. The family later moved to Langhorne, Pa. She went on to Bloomsbury Teachers College in Pa., to become a teacher. She married Hampton Morris, and made their home in Glenside, Pa. There were no children. However, she had nieces and nephews who she treated like her own children. At the age of 60 she started painting oil pictures, and continued to paint until the age of 90.
