Funeral services for Fred Hicks
Luecke, 64, former Plymouth
resident who passed away at his
home at 958 Pleasant St., Boulder,
Colo., on Feb. 4, were held Saturday
at 2 p.m. in the drawing
room of the Allardica-Hibbard
Mortuary at Boulder.
Dr. Warren S. Bainbridge of
the First Methodist Church officiated,
and burial was made in
Mountain View Memorial Park.
Mr. Luecke was born Feb. 3,
1890, in Hustisford, Wis., the son
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Christian
Luecke. He moved with his
parents to Plymouth when a
young child, and attended the
local schools, and the Sheboygan.
Business College. Later he
learned the electrical trade, becoming
a leader in that field.
He served as divisional manager
of the Central Illinois Public
Service Co. for many years,
and from 1930 to 1937 as president
of the Missouri Public Service
Co. He then became regional
director of the Colorado Rural
Electrification Association, serving
until 1946. He later established
a mail order business known
as the Groundmaster Co., which
he operated from his home.
He was a member of the Congregational
Church of Beardstown,
Ill.; the Oilman Lodge No.
591, F. & A. M., at Gilman, IlI.;
the Shrine at Springfield, Ill.,
and the Boulder Chamber of Commerce.
He was married to Mabel Boy-
Ian on June 17, 1914, and she
survives together with a son,
John, both of Boulder. Two sisters,
Miss Etta Luecke of Plymouth
and Mrs. Emily Larson of
Milwaukee, and a brother, Frank,
of Warsaw, Ind., also survive.
