FORMER COUNTY MAN DIES ON AFRICAN FRONT

Lieut. Somers E. Barnett, Jr. has been killed in action on the African front, according to a notification from the war department to his mother, Mrs. S. E. Barnett, Ada.

A native of Idabel, Lieut. Barnett was reared at Valliant where the family resided a number of years. later moving to Ada. His father died two months ago at Ada.

Young Barnett had been on the African front for several months. He is survived by hia mother, one sister in California, and one brother with the U. S. Air Corps.

No details of the action in which he met death were available.
