Missing in Action.He was killed in action whilst serving as a top turret gunner on a B17 which is believed to have crashed in the North Sea.

Awards: Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Purple Heart

He was the son of Roy Hamock Blansit and Willie "Bill" Mullenix Blansit.
