PFC Robert Lewis Wilson was a very courageous young man who gave his life as a member of the 504th Parachute Infantry 82nd Airborne Division. He left a widowed Mother who likely died of a broken heart when she learned that her only child would not return.

While going through the IDPF papers just now, I came across Mae's death certificate!
Mae Brown Wilson was born March 23, 1888 in Jackson, Ohio
Father: Jacob R. Brown of Ohio
Mother: Mary K. Philhower of Ohio
Mae was buried at Restlawn Cemetery in Jacksonville on Nov. 11, 1947
No social security number
Dora A. Stogner of Hamilton, Ohio signed the certificate

Robert Lewis Wilson's father was Howard Wilson.
