Parker served as a Second Lieutenant & Pilot on B-24H ~ #42-52333, 763rd Bomber Squadron, 460th Bomber Group, Heavy, U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II.

He resided in Oxford County, Maine prior to the war.

B-24H ~ #42-52333 was apparently hit by friendly fire which caused a fire in the right wheel well and eventually caused the right wing to buckle and fall off .... They crashed into the sea west of Italy.

Parker was declared "Missing In Action" during the war and was awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
