Thomas was the son of James Daley and Eleanor Rigney Daley. Thomas left behind his wife Beulah Mary Beene and a 2 year old daughter Patricia Daley.

Per "World War II and Korean Conflict Sicily-Rome
American Cemetery and Memorial, Veterans Interred Overseas. Thomas was with the 179th Infantry 45th Division. He was awarded the Purple Heart Medal."
