First Lieutenant Jack L. Abrams, son of Felix A. and Irma Abrams, was born in Milwaukee County, Wisconsin in 1921. 1LT Abrams, service number 691627, a member of the 777th Bomber Squadron, 464th Bomber Group, Heavy, was killed in action on October 17, 1944. The bombardier aboard the plane "Lively Lady" (serial number 44-41070) was en route from Italy destined for Vienna, Austria.

According to the Missing Air Crew Report no. 9302: "I saw the plane piloted by Lt. Waldron leave the formation just after bombs away. The plane went into a sloping glide. I think it was hit near the 3 engine by flak. I saw eight men leave the plane. I saw two chutes open but there was plenty of time for the other chutes to open. The plane disintegrated in the air some distance below us." 1LT Abrams was awarded the Purple Heart Medal and Air Medal, and buried at Plot A Row 16 Grave 21 at the Ardennes American Cemetery at Neupré (Neuville-en-Condroz), near Liège, Belgium.
