Gloucester, 13 April, 1890; was employed at the Connop Collieries; volunteered and enlisted, Aug. 1914; served with the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force at the Dardanelles from 29 June, 1915, to 10 Aug. 1915, on which latter date he was killed in action there; unmarried.
