Lance Corporal, 8th Battalion, Canadian Infantry (Manitoba Regiment). Born in Canada. Son of the Rev. William S. Ball and Marianne M. Brown.

Lance Corporal Gordon Alexander Ball is commemorated on Page 50 of Canada's First World War Book of Remembrance.

24 June 1916 appointed Lance Corporal.
26 September 1916 missing and reported killed in action at the Battle of Thiepval Ridge.
2 November 1917 Gordon's body is exhumed near Pozieres and buried in Courcelette British Cemetery Courcelette, France.
