Luke Ashford, a 97-year-old retired farmer of Kosciusko, MS; died Sept. 16, 1986, at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital.
Services were held Sunday at 3 p.m. at Mt. Moriah M. B. Church.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Delia Ashford; two daughters, Mrs. Bertha Hull of Kosciusko, MS; and Mrs. Bertha Barksdale of Ethel, MS; six sons, Paul Ashford, Luther Ashford of Milwaukee, WI; A. D. Ashford, Sam Ashford of Chicago, IL; John Charles Ashford of Gulfport, MS; and Tom Ashford of Memphis, TN; also a sister, Mrs. Mary Fox of Kosciusko, MS; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Ashford was a native of Attala County, MS; and a member of Mt. Moriah M. B. Church.
Rev. F. Y. Clark officiated.
Burial in Brooks Cemetery.
