The family later moved to Morton, WA where Bob attended school and graduated. After graduating he served in the US Army during WWII serving in the South Pacific. He earned 2 Bronze Stars during his service.
After returning home to Morton, Bob went to work in the logging industry and worked as a Timberfaller and Gypo Logger until he retired.
In 1954 he married Martha Lindau Matchett and their son Brian was born in 1956.
Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, and truely loved growing nice big tomatoes.
Bob is survived by his wife Martha at the family home, his son Brian (Bonnie) Weber, his stepson Bob Matchett, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many friends. Bob will be truly missed by all.
