He served in W W II on the European front. He met Jessie Coumbs after the war and they were married in 1948. Lou was a cattle and horse broker and after many trips to Ontario decided to settle in Kemptville.
They were the parents to three children; David Samuel,Neil Alan and Kathy Ann.
