Husband of Daisy Baker who resided in the District Of Columbia.

Charles served as a Steward's Mate Second Class, U.S.S. Corry (DD-463), U.S. Navy during World War II.

He resided in the District Of Columbia prior to the war.

Charles was "Killed In Action" when the Corry was noted to have either hit a mine or possibly suffered severe damage from land based artillery off Normandy, France during the war. He was awarded the Purple Heart.

His remains were buried at sea.
