Raymond served as a Private First Class in the 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

Prior to the war he resided at 59 Almira, Rochester, Monroe County, New York.

He enlisted in the Army on March 18, 1943 in Rochester, New York. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Welder and also as Single, without dependents.

Raymond "Died Of Pneumonia" in an evacuation hospital in Germany during the war. He was married and a memorial service was conducted in St. John's Lutheran Church.
