Sgt. Donald K. Semrow was a Wisconsin National Guardsman called to federal service when his tank company became A Company, 192nd Tank Battalion. He fought in some of the first tank battles of World War II involving American tanks. On April 9, 1942, he became a Prisoner of War and took part in the Bataan Death March. As a POW, he was held at Camp O'Donnell, Cabanatuan. He died at Cabanatuan from dysetery.
