John Lagan was the second son of Minerva Funk and Frank Lagan Jr. As a graduate of LaSalle College High School, he enlisted in the US Army 30 July 1943. He was a Technical Sergent in Co G 63rd Inf Regt 6th Inf Div earning the Bronze Star serving under adverse conditions in New Guinea, Luzon and Korea, until January 1946. John married Margaret Hicks on May 31 1947 and was the loving father of 6 children. He was a VP of Philadelphia Surgical Instrument Supply until his retirement. John then had more time for his watercolor painting and fishing. He was much loved and missed by his wife and family.
