Dollie B. Hoover

Dollie B. Hoover, age 86, of 635 Oak Hill Avenue, Plymouth, Indiana, passed away at 7:05 a.m., Friday, November 9, 2007, at Miller's Merry Manor, Plymouth.

Dollie was born on April 23, 1921, in West Township, Marshall County, Indiana, to Lloyd and Ruth (Wilson) Abair. Dollie and Warren E. Hoover were married on November 7, 1941. They lived their entire lives in the Marshall County area. Together they raised their two children.

Dollie was a wife, homemaker, and a stay at home mom. She enjoyed spending time with her family, making quilts, and baby quilts, through the church. She encouraged her children, by telling them they could be or do anything they put their minds to.

Dollie was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Plymouth; the Baby Quilting Club, at the church; and later worked for the Plymouth School Corporation, in the cafeteria.

Dollie is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Warren D. Hoover; their son, Phillip and Jane Hoover of Boise, Idaho; their daughter, Linda Woodall of Orlando, Florida; five grandchildren; and her sisters, Beatrice Mertens of Muncie, Indiana and Alice Opal of Richmond, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Shirley Morlock and Virginia Abair; and her brother, Donald Abair.

Funeral services for Dollie will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at the Trinity United Methodist Church, 425 South Michigan Street, Plymouth, Indiana, with Michael Burroughs officiating. Burial will be in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth.

A time of visiting with the Hoover family, will be on Tuesday, November 13, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at the Van Gilder Funeral Home, 300 West Madison Street, Plymouth, Indiana, 46563 and from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the funeral service.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Trinity United Methodist Church.
