Born Jan. 26, 1918, in Lacon, Marshall County, to Albert and Ella Feazel Bienemann, he married Carla E. Nagel on Feb. 23, 1946, in East Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Sue (Mrs. Gary) Skaggs of East Peoria; one half brother, Roy of Washington; two sisters, Velma Johnston of Bartonville and Pearl Ivy of East Peoria; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
One brother preceded him in death.
He was a World War II Army Air Forces veteran, serving in the European Theater and completing 52 air missions.
He worked at Caterpillar Inc. for 41 years, retiring from the Research Department in 1981. He later farmed and raised cattle in the Canton and Washington areas.
He attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria.
Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
