Daily Cook was born April 27, 1908 in Andelusia, Alabama to Mr. and Mrs. John Bass.

She grew up and received her education in Alabama. She was married to Mr. Ishmael Cook in April 1926. To this union two children were born; Matthew Cook and Janet (Bunton) Cook.

She came to Detroit, July, 1928. She was baptized into Christ in 1934 at the Church of Christ, 7825 Cameron Avenue under the leadership of the late Bro. J.D. Bynum. She was a founding member of the Church of Christ at 2300 Jos Campau, and worked faithfully until the end. She was a faithful member of the Ladies Progressive Group. She assisted in teaching the Audult Sunday School Class, and was also active in community affairs, working with the Home Owners Neighborhood Association. She was instrumental in getting many projects accomplished.

Sister Cook departed this life Monday, June 23, 1969 at 12:50 p.m. in Grace Hospital.

She is surviced by: her husband, Ishmael; two children, Matthew Cook and Janet (Bunton); two grandchildren: Warren Cook and Raymond Bunton; three sisters; Mrs. Hattie Cook, Mrs. Annie Bell and Mrs. Sarah Watkins, all of Detroit; two brothers; Mr. Fred Bass, Detroit, and Mr. K. C. Bass of Pensecola, Florida, many nephews, nieces and a host of other relaties and friends.
