Winifred, born at Tracyton, April 27, 1922, was one of the community's most popular youngsters and was known as a good student and a child of talent. The body is at the Steitz Funeral Chapel where arrangements are being made for burial.
Besides her parents, the girl is survived by a sister, AIleen, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. F.N. Lindsey of Tracyton and Mr. and Mrs Clare of Sheridan. The girl's father is a Navy Yard workman.

Winifred, daughter of Mrs. Benjamin Lindsey; met her death when a sled on which she was riding with a cousin, struck a stump. She was born in Tracyton, 27 Apr. 1922.
Survivors besides her parents, are a sister, Eileen and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. S.N. Lindsey, and Mr. and Mrs. S.N. Clare.

Rites on Saturday For Girl Victim of Coasting Accident - Funeral services for Winifred Louise Lindsey, 14-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Lindsey of Tracyton, who was killed in a coasting accident near her home early Wednesday morning, are to be held from the Tracyton Church at 2 o'clock Saturday, Rev. Thomas W. Emery, pastor of the Silverdale church will read the service and interment will take place in the Tracyton cemetery.
Winifred was born 27 April 1922, in Tracyton and was first year student at the Silverdale High School where she was actively associated with the Girl's Glee Clue and freshman athletics.
Surviving are her parents, a 10-year-old sister, Ileene; grandparents; Mr and Mrs. S.N. Lindsey, and Mr. and Mrs. N.S. Clare of Manette, and eight aunts and uncles living in the vicinity of Tracyton and Manette. -Bremerton Sun - 22 Jan 1937
