George A McKinstry was born in Keady, Armagh Ireland, the son of Lee Mckinstry and Marion Wilson. Emmigrating to Philadelphia George worked as a commission agent. He was married to Isabella Ancora in Philadelphia about 1861 and had 3 children before his death in 1866. He is buried at Laurel Hill with his brother Thomas, wife Isabella and son Lee.
