DEATH OF BERT BAKER
He Was Taken Away in The Prime of Young Manhood
Bert Baker, aged 24 years, died yesterday morning at 10 o'clock at the home of his father, Wm. Baker, on north Maple street, after an illness of twelve days of peritonitis. The deceased was a bright young man and highly esteemed by all who knew him. His sudden taking away in the very prime of life is very sad, and comes as a most severe blow to the sorrowing members of his father's family. The bereaved mother has been very ill with sciatic rheumatism all winter and it is feared that she cannot recover.
The funeral took place at the Christian church this afternoon, conducted by Rev. W. A. Oldham and was largely attended. The remains were laid to rest in Park Cemetery.
