Thos. L. Buckholtz Dies of Injuries In Car Accident

Thomas Lee Buckholtz, age 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. James E. Buckholtz of Winter, passed away on Monday, June 8th, following internal injuries received when his car struck the rear of a semitrailer. The accident occurred on interstate highways 90 and 94, six miles west of Arlington and Columbia County. He died in the Divine Savior Hospital in Portage where he was taken following the accident. Tom had been home to spend the weekend and was returning Sunday evening to his employment at Spring Grove, Illinois.

He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic church of Winter.

Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Buckholtz of Winter; one sister, Linda of Winter; seven brothers, James of Cameron, Robert who is stationed in Germany, Jerry of Milwaukee, Richard of Bristol, Denny of Ashland, Oregon, Ronald and David of Winter; the maternal grandmother, Mrs. Doris Rudesill of Ladysmith.

Recitation of the Rosary took place at the Anderson Funeral Chapel in Hayward on Wednesday evening at 8 p.m.

Funeral services are being conducted this (Thursday) morning at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Winter with Rev. Father Eugene Konopka officiating. The interment will be in the Catholic Cemetery in Winter.

Pallbearers were: Otto Ladenthin, Charles Petit, William Martin, Jerome Alm, Fred Rankin, and John T. Martin.
