Funeral services for Edgar Thompson Cook Sr., 62, of 559 Forrest Hill Road, who died yesterday morning in a local hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. today in Memorial Chapel.
The Rev. Harold Beaty will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Calder Payne, Robert Barfield, Frank Reese, Ernest Dunloo, EmiIe Hirsch and Hendley Napier.
Mr.. Cook was a native of Washington, Ga., and received his education in Wilkes County. He had resided in Macon for 56 years and was owner of the Credit Exchange Service. He attended the First Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Optimist Club.
Survivors include his widow; one son, E. Tommy Cook Jr.; one sister, Mrs. B. T. Bethune Of Macon; and two grandsons.
The family will be at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Cook Jr., 2905 Alfred Drive.
Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

As their paperboy, I saw them on a monthly basis in person. Mr. Cook was blind in his latter years but still loved the neighborhood children. DHI
